of shirts, credited subjects and other concerns

mood :: ayos lang
sounds :: stonefree - baka naman
random thought :: pwede ko kayang i-retake na lang ang artcomp tapos ipacredit ko yung latter grade?

it was an 'okay' day i guess. i woke up late as usual. mwf eh. my first class would be 340. but not today. i had a BMS JO meeting during ubreak so i had to leave the house at around 11.45. as expected, traffic. tapos i had to talk to annie about the BMS JO shirts pa (she has contacts with the supplier... thanks annie :) ). i arrived at the meeting 10 minutes late but thankfully they weren't as strict about the attendance as before. bago ako pumasok ng room (sa LS), tinignan ko muna yung banda sa amphi. 6 cycle mind. ayun haha wala lang. i took a seat next to kimi and maita (who were busy with their DLSU student council OVP-OPEC raffle ticket stint... kimi, help me sell those tickets!). brenda was already talking about the la mesa dam eco trek on saturday. i'm personally excited for that event. we'd be tree-planting, then there would be fun games and the amazing race (maita's favorite), not to mention all the supposed 'bonding' that would take place during the outreach (brenda and ****, carlos and ****, cheng and *****... haha kidding). hindi sa pambobola, pero with the short time i've spent with the Business Management Society, i've really grown to love the org and the people (not sugarcoated words ah... and besides, i don't think anyone from BMS will be reading this) --- which is weird mentioning that i'm from an entirely different college (comsci anyone?).

speaking of comsci, i'm steadily feeling the transition to lia-com. finally i'm back to my original course (bachelor of arts in communication arts and bachelor of science in commerce major in business management with specialization in entrepreneurship --- but i'll be applying for the applied corporate management program :) ) after one whole year and one term (and after countless trips to the registrar's office, the communication department, the ccs and cla vice dean's offices and even the photocopying machines). right after the JO meeting (where i also revealed the price of our shirts... 380 bucks. i know. sinusubukan ko talagang tawaran), i had an hour to spare before my first class so i decided to go to the cla vice dean's office so that i could get a list of the credited subjects once i shift to cla. when i arrived at the office, i flashed a smile at the secretary (siguro nagsasawa na siya sakin dahil pabalik-balik na lang ako doon araw-araw) and asked for the "credited flowchart". akala niya magpapaxerox ako ng flowchart kaya binigay niya sakin yung makapal na bluebook of flowcharts. i smiled again and respectfully said that i meant the "credited flowchart for external shiftees". ayun, pinakita niya narin sakin. nung una natuwa ako kasi meron din palang comsci subjects na na-credit besides the floating ones. but there's a catch:

CCS --> CLA
ALGRTIG --> ALGE101
BASICON --> ARTCOMP

mejo di nako natuwa. first off, ang algtrig ng ccs is credited as alge101 sa cla. 4 unit math subject ang algtrig tapos credited siya as a 3 unit math subject sa cla?! sayang lang yung extra paghihirap ko! eto pa masmalala, basicon is credited as artcomp. well, let's just say that when i took up basicon nung 1st term of frosh year 1) obviously wala yung puso ko sa comsci 2) if you're totally into computers, this subject would be a breeze.. apparently, i'm not one of those people 3) i was overly involved with my extra-curriculars at that time --- not that i'm blaming my orgs becuase it was totally in my discretion... in short, i got a grade lower than 2.5. kasi yung mga dinidiscuss sa basicon about software, hardware, number systems, logic gates, etc. talagang pang-comsci. eh sa artcomp ano yung scope? word, excel... microsoft office applications! sabi ni drew ang artcomp daw ang isa sa mga subjects na panghatak ng GPA sa cla dahil halos lahat nakaka4.0 or 3.5 doon. wow. nice one. so dahil nacredit ang basicon (na di hamak na masmahirap sa pagkalikot ng ms apps) as artcomp, ang artcomp grade ko ay below 2.5?! nice one talaga. parang gusto kong itake ang artcomp uli --- yun nga lang, what's the use eh napasa ko na. nakakainis lang.

i still had time to spare (you'd be surprised by the amount of things you can do in 1 hour.. na-realize ko yan this term every tth tuwing 7-hour break ko) so i decided to vent out my 'credited subject frustration' sa SCA KDIC booth. my catholic org is asking for donations that we'll be giving to less fortunate kids on saturday sa kuya drop-in center in cubao (kaso nga lang di ako makakasama because of the eco-trek kaya i just pitch in with the booth manning and other concerns). the booth was transferred to SJ walk kaya mejo marami nang nagdonate. nandun si mel, prec, boom and lysander. the 4 of them helped me keep my mind off the whole shifting thing. mel and prec were busy looking at their grad pics (*sigh* 2010 here i come), boom was handing out his cso calling cards and lys was inviting us to go to malacañang with him for a mass (and of course, we talked about our 'favorite person' haha). after some time, we had to pack up kasi mukhang babagsak na yung ulan. i helped them carry the bags of stuffed toys sa SPS before i quickly made my way to Miguel for my class. saved by the bell na naman.

filipi2 and philhis were the usual. nung filipi2, francis and i were trying to get our prof to buy a ticket from us. luckily he did (and so did 2 other classmates). nung philhis naman, my groupmates and i planned for our oral history project. we'd be interviewing general abat (grandfather of my groupmate) about the martial law period next wednesday night. hopefully wala akong commitment nun. after class, i messaged up meg, ejay and july so that we can all have dinner. meg and i ended up eating at munch because ejay had 'projects' to do and july wasn't replying to our messages. i had sisig again. tapos before i went home, dumaan pa kami ng cello's. food trip talaga. i went home earlier than usual. mga 830 nasa bahay na ata ako kanina. i had to finish something pa kasi eh.

i guess i better hit the sack. 8am class pako mamaya (past 12 na). wish me luck with my litera1 work, lia-com external shiftees online enrollment (sana makuha ko yung mga gusto kong class!) and relstwo quiz later. you guys take care. :)
